PAX device updates

Driver-validated concession registration

Drivers can now register concession cards directly, making it simple for travellers to tap on at concession rates.

Steps for drivers:

  1. Sight the traveller’s concession card
  2. Select the type of concession
  3. Enter the expiry date (if applicable)
  4. Ask the traveller to tap their payment card

Once registered, the traveller can continue to tap on with their payment card and enjoy concession fares.

Zone selection (Unassisted devices)

Travellers can now select their destination zone before tapping, giving another option for calculating fares.

PAX app robustness improvements

We’ve made several updates to improve reliability and the driver experience:

  • Faster startup: tikpay and transportme apps now open smoothly and establish Bluetooth automatically
  • Stable connections: Bluetooth remains connected even when the internet connection drops in and out
  • Clearer printed tickets: increased print contrast for easier readability

Operator Portal Updates

New Settlement Summary Report

A new daily report shows the total amount that should settle, making reconciliation simpler.

Settlement Transaction Report Improvements

We have made some improvements to the Settlement Transaction report:

* Terminal ID (TID) included in the table

* Filter by Terminal ID

* Drill down into each transaction to view the traveller’s account

* Refunds now displayed as negative values for clarity

* Settlement totals now correctly include refunds

Post-paid Fares

Traveller Portal Updates

The traveller portal now has the language pack added, so users can switch between English, Spanish and German.
